Issue
Your RSS email is displaying raw HTML tags like <p> instead of formatted content.
Solution
Use the "triple-stash" syntax in your RSS custom value to render HTML properly.
Here's How to Fix It:
- Open your email in the Email Builder
- Click on the RSS Item element you want to fix
- Find where you're using
{{rss_item.content}} - Change it to
{{{rss_item.content}}}(notice the three curly braces)
[SCREENSHOT: Email builder with RSS Item element selected, showing the custom value field with triple-stash syntax highlighted]
Why This Happens
When you use the standard double curly braces {{rss_item.content}}, Enrollio automatically escapes HTML characters to protect against code injection. This means:
- An ampersand
&becomes& - HTML tags display as plain text instead of formatting
- Your nicely formatted content looks like code
The triple-stash syntax {{{ }}} tells Enrollio: "This HTML is safe — render it as formatted content."
Visual Example
Without triple-stash {{rss_item.content}}:
Your email displays: <p>Welcome to our center</p>
With triple-stash {{{rss_item.content}}}:
Your email displays: Welcome to our center (properly formatted)
{{{rss_item.title}}}, {{{rss_item.description}}}, etc.When to Use Triple-Stash
Use {{{ }}} when your RSS feed contains:
- HTML-formatted blog posts
- Styled announcements
- Content with links, bold text, or other formatting
Use regular {{ }} when your RSS feed contains plain text only.
