Overview
The Error Highlight and AI Resolution feature helps you quickly spot, understand, and fix issues in your automations. When something goes wrong, you'll see clear visual alerts and get step-by-step guidance to resolve problems without guessing or waiting for support.
Why This Matters
Keep your center running smoothly. Errors in automations can mean missed follow-ups with prospective families, incomplete enrollments, or staff notifications that never send. This feature helps you catch and fix issues fast.
Save time troubleshooting. Instead of hunting through every step of your automation, see exactly where problems exist and get AI-powered suggestions to fix them.
Build with confidence. Even if you're new to automations, you can troubleshoot complex issues on your own.
Key Features
Error Button in Side Panel
Look for the Error button on the left side panel in the Automation Builder. Click it to see a complete list of issues, organized into two categories:
- Integration Issues: Problems connecting to external services like Mailgun or payment processors
- Missing Required Fields: Actions that need information you haven't provided yet (like appointment dates or custom fields)
Visual Error Highlighting
Actions and triggers with errors display a warning icon (⚠️) in the bottom right corner. This makes it easy to spot problems at a glance as you review your automation flow.

The Error Panel consolidates all issues in one place. No need to click through every step—see everything that needs attention in a single list.

Each error includes a "Resolve through AI" button. Click it and the AI Assistant explains what went wrong and walks you through the fix. The system will automatically open the relevant action or trigger so you can make changes right away.
Hide Errors When You Don't Need Them
If you prefer a cleaner view, toggle off the Error Tab in your side panel settings. You can always turn it back on when you're troubleshooting.
How to Fix Errors (Step-by-Step)
Step 1: Find the Errors
- Open your automation in the Automation Builder
- Look for warning icons (⚠️) on individual actions or triggers
- Click the Error Tab in the left panel to see the complete list
Step 2: Get AI Help
- Find the error you want to fix in the Error Panel
- Click "Resolve through AI" next to that error
- The AI Assistant opens and shows you:
- What caused the error: A plain-English explanation
- How to fix it: Clear, actionable steps
Step 3: Apply the Fix
- The action or trigger configuration panel opens automatically
- Follow the AI's guidance to make the necessary changes
- If the error involves reconnecting an integration (like email or payments), the AI will point you to the right settings
- Save your changes
Step 4: Confirm It's Fixed
Once you've resolved the issue, the warning icon (⚠️) disappears from that action or trigger. The error also clears from your Error Panel list automatically.
Pro Tip: Fix errors before publishing your automation. While published automations will continue running even with errors, they may not work as intended—which could mean missed opportunities with families or incomplete enrollment tasks.

Can I hide the error icons permanently?
Yes. Use the toggle in the side panel settings to turn off error visibility. This hides both the Error Tab and the warning icons on individual actions. You can re-enable it anytime you need to troubleshoot.
Will my published automation stop working if an error appears?
No. Published automations stay active even when errors are detected. However, the specific actions with errors may not execute properly—for example, an email might not send if there's a missing field. Fix errors as soon as you spot them to ensure everything works as expected.
Do I need to republish my automation after fixing an error?
If your automation is in Draft mode, save and publish it after making fixes. If it's already Published, your changes take effect immediately—no need to republish.
What if the AI can't resolve my error?
The AI Assistant handles most common issues, but if you're stuck, reach out to Enrollio support. We're here to help you get your automations running smoothly.
Pro Tip: Test your automations after fixing errors. Create a test parent record or enrollment opportunity and watch the automation run to confirm everything works as intended.
