Parent and Enrollment Opportunity Followers in Enrollio

The 'Followers' feature lets multiple team members follow and access the same parent or enrollment opportunity record. You can add up to 10 users as followers who can view and edit the record — even when the "Only Assigned Data" permission is turned on.

What Are Followers?

Followers are team members you add to a parent or enrollment opportunity who get access to view and manage that record. This works even if they normally have restricted data access under the "Only Assigned Data" permission setting.

Think of followers as your backup team. When a director is out of office, their followers can still help families without reassigning ownership.

Follower Permissions & Limitations

Followers inherit the same permissions as the record owner. They can view and edit parent information or enrollment opportunity details.

However, followers cannot change who owns the record. Ownership stays with the assigned staff member.

Adding Followers to Parent Records

You can add followers directly on a parent's detailed page.

  1. Open the parent record you want to share
  2. Look for the Followers section
  3. Click to add team members
  4. Select up to 10 staff members

  1. Open your enrollment pipeline
  2. Click on the enrollment opportunity
  3. Look for the Followers field in the details panel
  4. Select team members to add

Pro Tips for Using Followers

Automate follower assignments: Set up automations to automatically add followers based on tour types, enrollment stages, or campus locations. For example, automatically add your enrollment coordinator as a follower when a family books a tour.

Team visibility: Use followers to keep your front desk staff in the loop on high-priority enrollments, or give directors visibility into specific parent conversations without changing ownership.

Key Points to Remember

  • Followers improve collaboration across your childcare team
  • You can add up to 10 followers per record
  • Followers see and edit records even with "Only Assigned Data" permissions
  • Followers cannot change record ownership
  • Combine followers with automations for hands-free team coordination

Use this feature strategically to maintain visibility and access without compromising your ownership hierarchy.
