What Are Enrollment Opportunities?
An enrollment opportunity represents a single prospective family moving through your enrollment process. It bundles the parent contact, pipeline stage, estimated tuition value, and assigned staff member so you can track each family from initial inquiry to their final outcome — enrolled, waitlisted, or declined.
Key Benefits of Creating Opportunities
Centralized Tracking: View every active enrollment in your Opportunities dashboard.
Revenue Forecasting: Log potential tuition revenue to improve your enrollment projections and capacity planning.
Clear Ownership: Assign a staff member so your team knows who's managing each family's enrollment journey.
Contextual Notes: Store tour notes, parent questions, and follow-up details directly on the opportunity card.
How to Create Opportunities
Step 1: Access the Opportunities Module
- Log in to your Enrollio account.
- Click the Opportunities tab in the left navigation.
- Click the + Add Opportunity button at the top right.
Step 2: Fill in Parent Contact & Opportunity Information
- Select a Primary Contact from your existing parent/family contacts.
- If the family isn't in your system yet, enter their email and phone manually to create a new contact.
Step 3: Assign Pipeline, Stage, and Status
- Add a custom Opportunity Name (like "Smith Family - Infant Room") or keep the default contact name.
- Select the Enrollment Pipeline you want to add this opportunity to.
- Choose the appropriate Pipeline Stage (New Inquiry, Tour Scheduled, Enrolled, etc.).
- Set the Opportunity Status:
- Open — actively working this enrollment
- Won — family enrolled
- Lost — family declined or went elsewhere
- Abandon — no response from family
- Enter the Opportunity Value (estimated monthly or annual tuition).
Step 4: Add Owner, Team Members and Additional Details
- Assign an Owner — the staff member responsible for this enrollment.
- Add Followers if other team members need to stay in the loop (you can add multiple).
- Fill in Additional Fields as needed:
- Business Name (if applicable)
- Opportunity Source (how they found you)
- Tags (program type, age group, etc.)
- Custom fields your center has configured
Step 5: Finalize the Opportunity
- Click Add/Manage Fields if you need to configure custom fields for your center's specific needs.
- Click the Create button to save the opportunity.
- Verify the new opportunity appears in your enrollment pipeline view.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I assign an opportunity to someone later?
Yes. Open the opportunity card, select a new owner, and click Save.
Can I change the opportunity value after creation?
Absolutely. Edit the Opportunity Value field in the edit panel and save your changes.
Can I duplicate an existing opportunity?
Not currently. You'll need to create a new opportunity and manually copy over any relevant details.
What happens if I delete a parent contact linked to an opportunity?
The opportunity remains, but the parent contact link breaks. You'll need to re-associate a new contact or restore the original contact to maintain the connection.
How do I move an opportunity to a different stage after creation?
Drag the opportunity card to the desired stage column on your pipeline board, or open the edit panel and choose a new stage from the dropdown.
Can I change the primary contact on an existing opportunity?
Yes. Open the edit panel, remove the current primary contact, add the new contact, and mark it as primary before saving.
