Your default brand board is the foundation of your childcare center's visual identity across Enrollio. It controls which colors, fonts, and logos appear first when you're creating enrollment pages, emails, or updating your website — keeping your branding consistent and saving you time.

Here's how to understand and change your default brand board.

What is a Default Brand Board?

A Brand Board stores your core visual identity — your colors, fonts, and logos — so you can apply consistent styling across Enrollio. When you mark one board as the Default, it tells every editor in the platform which branding guidelines to show first.

By default, the first brand board you create is automatically set as your default.

Why Setting a Default Matters

Choosing a default brand board improves your daily workflow:

  • Consistency: Keeps your colors, fonts, and logos aligned across all parent communications
  • Speed: Surfaces the right colors and fonts first when you're designing
  • Simplicity: Easy to switch between multiple brand guidelines (like seasonal promotions)
  • Onboarding: New staff members can quickly apply the correct branding
  • Single Source of Truth: One place to manage your visual identity

When to Change the Default Brand Board

Updated Brand Guidelines: Change your default board when you've updated your center's colors, logos, or fonts. This ensures all new materials match your latest branding.

Seasonal Campaigns: You might want to switch to a holiday theme (like red and green for Christmas) for special occasions. However, it's often better to create a separate themed board rather than changing your default — that way you can easily switch back.

How to Change the Default Brand Board

Step 4: Confirm Your Default Board

The brand board set as default will show Default as its status. You can also open any editor to confirm your selected brand colors appear first in the color picker.

Pro Tip: Only one brand board can be set as default at a time. When you set a new default, the previous one automatically loses its default status.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I switch the default again later?

Yes. Repeat the same steps on another brand board and set that one as default. Keep in mind that only one brand board can be default at any time.

What if I don't have any brand boards yet?

Create one first and it will automatically be set as the default. Check out our guide on creating a brand board to get started.

Does changing the default update existing emails and pages automatically?

No. Changing your default brand board only affects what appears first in color and font pickers for new content or future edits. Your existing enrollment pages, emails, and website keep their current styling until you manually edit them.

Pro Tip: If you're rebranding your center, you'll need to manually update existing enrollment pages and email templates to match your new brand board.
