How to Sell Gift Cards
Enrollio Gift Cards let you sell prepaid balances that families can purchase for themselves or send to others. You can sell via a dedicated checkout link, embed code, QR code, or add them to existing checkouts like enrollment pages, forms, stores, payment links, invoices, and booking calendars.
This article walks you through each selling method, what customers experience, and best practices for smooth delivery and redemption.
Overview of Selling Gift Cards
Selling Gift Cards is the process of offering a prepaid balance as a product in Enrollio. You can sell a gift card through its own checkout or by adding it to your existing selling channels—enrollment pages, forms, stores, payment links, invoices, and booking calendars.
This allows you to sell gift cards wherever your families already interact with you.
When a customer completes a purchase, Enrollio creates a Gift Card Order and delivers the gift card based on the delivery option selected at checkout (immediate or scheduled).
Each Gift Card includes:
- A dedicated checkout link
- An embed code
- A QR code
- The ability to be added to any checkout that supports product selection

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I sell multiple gift card denominations at once?
Yes. Create separate gift card products for each denomination, or create a single gift card with multiple denomination options that customers can choose from at checkout.
What happens if a scheduled gift card is accessed before the delivery date?
If the recipient accesses the code through any means before the scheduled delivery date, they can still redeem it. The scheduled delivery only controls when the email is sent.
Can I track who purchased gift cards?
Yes. All gift card purchases create orders in Enrollio, and you can view purchaser information, recipient details, and redemption status in the Gift Cards dashboard.
Can families use gift cards for enrollment fees?
Yes, as long as you've configured your enrollment checkout to accept gift cards as a payment method. Families can apply their gift card balance at checkout.
What's the difference between Test Mode and Live Mode gift cards?
Test Mode gift cards use test payment credentials and can only be redeemed in test checkouts. Live Mode gift cards process real payments and can only be redeemed in live checkouts. They're completely separate systems.
