How Apple Pay and Google Pay Work in Enrollio

Once enabled, Apple Pay and Google Pay appear alongside credit card options on your enrollment forms. Whether families see these options depends on:

  • Their geographic location
  • Their web browser
  • Whether they have payment methods saved to their Apple or Google account

Stripe automatically displays Google Pay when available. Apple Pay requires one additional step: registering your domains with Stripe (which happens automatically when you turn on the feature).

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my payment reports change?

No. Stripe processes Apple Pay and Google Pay as standard card payments. All transactions appear normally in your Enrollio payment reports, along with order and subscription tracking.

Are there extra fees for Apple Pay or Google Pay?

No. Stripe charges the same processing rates for Apple Pay and Google Pay as it does for credit cards. Learn more about Apple Pay pricing.

Can I use Apple Pay and Google Pay with PayPal instead of Stripe?

No. Apple Pay and Google Pay are only available through Stripe Connect in Enrollio.

Why is Google Pay showing even though I didn't enable it?

Stripe may automatically enable certain payment methods based on your account settings and what the parent's browser supports. If Google Pay appears without you turning it on, it's because Stripe detected compatibility and made it available. This is normal behavior.

What happens if I test a transaction with Apple Pay or Google Pay?

When using Stripe in Test Mode, Apple Pay and Google Pay transactions are simulated. No real money moves, and you don't need to refund test payments. They're just for testing your enrollment form setup.

Can I enable other payment methods like bank transfers or ACH?

Currently, only Apple Pay and Google Pay can be enabled through Stripe in Enrollio. Additional payment methods may become available in future updates.

Pro Tip: Most parents prefer paying by card or digital wallet during enrollment. Having Apple Pay and Google Pay available speeds up registration — especially for families filling out forms on their phones.
