Understanding Instant Redirects

If your landing page redirects immediately when someone visits it, you've likely set up a redirect rule that's triggering before the page content loads. This is usually unintentional and can prevent parents from seeing your enrollment information.

Common Causes

Page-level redirect settings: You may have configured the page itself to redirect visitors to another URL. This overrides all other settings.

Domain redirect rules: Your domain settings might include a redirect that affects all pages on that domain.

Step redirect logic: If you're using a multi-step landing page, check if the first step has an automatic redirect configured.

How to Fix It

Here's how to remove unwanted redirects and get your page working properly:

Check Page Settings

  1. Go to Sites in your left navigation
  2. Find and click on the landing page that's redirecting
  3. Click Settings (gear icon in the top right)
  4. Scroll to the Redirect URL field
  5. If there's a URL entered here, delete it and click Save

Check Domain Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Domains
  2. Find the domain or subdomain your landing page uses
  3. Click the three dots and select Edit
  4. Look for any redirect rules configured at the domain level
  5. Remove any unwanted redirects and click Save

Check Multi-Step Logic

If you're using a multi-step landing page (like a tour request form with multiple screens):

  1. Open your landing page in the editor
  2. Click on Steps in the left sidebar
  3. Select the first step
  4. Click Step Settings
  5. Look for any redirect or "Next Action" settings
  6. Remove or adjust as needed
Pro Tip: Before removing a redirect, make note of where it was pointing. Sometimes redirects are intentional (like sending parents to a thank-you page after form submission), and you'll want to set them up in the right place instead.

Testing Your Fix

After removing the redirect, open your landing page in a new incognito/private browser window. This ensures you're seeing the page as a parent would, without any cached settings.

The page should now load normally and display your enrollment information instead of redirecting immediately.
