Enrollio displays payment methods dynamically when you have Stripe connected as your default payment provider. This gives families flexible ways to pay for tuition, registration fees, and other childcare costs.

Supported Payment Methods

Enrollio supports these payment options through Stripe:

  • Credit/Debit Cards
  • Apple Pay (requires registered domains)
  • Google Pay
  • ACH Direct Debit (bank transfers)
  • Affirm (requires shipping address)
  • Klarna (requires shipping address)
  • AfterPay (requires shipping address)
  • Bancontact (Belgium)
  • iDEAL (Netherlands)
  • SEPA Direct Debit (European Union)
  • Link (requires registered domains)
  • Amazon Pay
  • Revolut Pay (UK)
  • CashApp
  • GrabPay (Malaysia)
  • Zip (Australia)
  • BACS Direct Debit (UK)
  • BECS Direct Debit (Australia)
  • FPX (Malaysia)

How to Turn Payment Methods On or Off

You control which payment methods appear to families by managing settings in your Stripe dashboard.

Step 1: Access Stripe Payment Method Settings

  1. Log into your Stripe dashboard
  2. Navigate to Settings → Connect → Payment methods → Your account
  3. In the dropdown, select Enrollio configurations (your Stripe account may connect to multiple platforms)

Step 2: Choose Your Configuration

Enrollio uses four different configurations to control payment methods across different parts of your account:

Invoice Configuration

Used for: One-time invoices, recurring invoices without auto-pay, and text-to-pay links

Default payment methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH Direct Debit, Affirm, Klarna, AfterPay, Link, Amazon Pay, and Revolut Pay

InvoiceWithAutopayment Configuration

Used for: Recurring invoices with auto-pay enabled (like monthly tuition)

Default payment methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ACH Direct Debit

Store Configuration

Used for: Online stores on your enrollment site

Default payment methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Affirm, Klarna, AfterPay, Link, Amazon Pay, and Revolut Pay

Default Configuration

Used for: Registration forms, payment links, and everywhere else

Default payment methods: Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link, Amazon Pay, and Revolut Pay

Step 3: Enable or Disable Specific Payment Methods

  1. Select the configuration you want to modify
  2. Click on the payment method you want to change
  3. Toggle the payment method on or off
  4. Save your changes

Pro Tip: Some payment methods may appear blocked because they're not yet enabled for all Stripe accounts. Enrollio continues to add support for new payment methods regularly.

Special Note: Recurring Payments

For families to see a payment method option for recurring tuition or subscription payments, you need to enable it in two places:

  1. In Enrollio configurations (as described above)
  2. In your Stripe dashboard under Settings → Payment Methods → Billing Payment Methods

How This Helps Your Childcare Business

Offering multiple payment methods increases enrollment conversions by giving families payment flexibility. This is especially helpful if you serve families from different countries or regions where specific payment methods are preferred.

All payment transactions appear in your Enrollio Payments menu, regardless of which payment method families use. Your existing payment automations continue to work normally.

Note: Stripe is rolling out these enhanced payment method controls gradually. If you don't see all options yet, they should become available in your account within a few days.
