Creating Your Blog

Click Create New Blog and fill in the following:

1. Name Your Blog

Choose a name that reflects your content focus — like "Sunshine Academy Parent Resources" or "Early Learning Tips from ABC Childcare."

2. Set Up Your Domain and URL Structure

Select your domain and optionally add a slug to customize your blog's URL.

Option A: Using a subdirectory (recommended for most centers)
If your domain is sunshineacademy.com, you can set your blog to appear at sunshineacademy.com/blog by entering /blog as the slug.

  • Blog posts will appear at: sunshineacademy.com/post/post-name
  • Categories will appear at: sunshineacademy.com/blog/category/category-name
  • Tags will appear at: sunshineacademy.com/blog/tag/tag-name
  • Author pages will appear at: sunshineacademy.com/blog/author/author-name

Note: If a page already exists at that URL, Enrollio will automatically add unique parameters to avoid conflicts.

Option B: Using a subdomain
If you prefer blog.sunshineacademy.com, enter the full subdomain. No slug is needed.

  • Blog posts will appear at: blog.sunshineacademy.com/post-name
  • Categories will appear at: blog.sunshineacademy.com/category/category-name
  • Tags will appear at: blog.sunshineacademy.com/tag/tag-name
  • Author pages will appear at: blog.sunshineacademy.com/author/author-name

3. Add a Description

Write a brief description (up to 250 characters) that tells search engines and visitors what your blog is about. This helps with SEO and gives prospective families a preview of your content.

Click Edit Blog Site to access design options:

  • Layout designs: Choose from pre-built templates that look great on desktop and mobile
  • Card appearance: Control how blog post previews display on your main blog page
  • Styling options: Customize images, post tags, headings, titles, descriptions, author details, and publish dates

Managing Your Blog

From the list view, you can:

  • Create new blog posts
  • Edit existing posts
  • Manage your home page and individual post pages
