How Parent Records Are Created

When a parent messages you on Facebook or Instagram for the first time, Enrollio automatically creates a family record.

If that parent later shares an email or phone number that matches an existing family in your system:

  • With duplicate prevention on: Enrollio merges the messenger contact into the existing family record, keeping everything in one place
  • With duplicate prevention off: Enrollio creates a separate record, which may result in duplicate family profiles

You can adjust these settings in Settings → Business Profile → Contact Deduplication Preferences.
