Understanding the Issue
When you add both a form and calendar to your enrollment pages, you may notice that parent information doesn't automatically carry over between them. This is called "sticky contact" functionality — it remembers who the parent is as they move through your enrollment process.
The Solution
To make sticky parent information work correctly, you need to use matching element types for both your form and calendar. Here's what that means:
Use the same method for both elements:
- If you're using the standard form element, also use the standard calendar element
- If you're embedding custom HTML/JavaScript code for one, do the same for the other
⚠️ Common Mistake
Mixing a standard Enrollio form element with a custom calendar embed (or vice versa) breaks the connection. The parent's information won't flow between the two.
Step-by-Step Fix
- Open your enrollment page in the page builder
- Check which type of form element you're using (standard or custom embed)
- Check which type of calendar element you're using
- If they don't match, replace one to match the other
- Save and test your page
Testing It Works
After making your changes, test the flow as a parent would:
- Fill out your form with test information
- Move to the calendar booking step
- Verify that the parent's name and contact info automatically appear
💡 Pro Tip
Most childcare centers should stick with the standard form and calendar elements. They're designed to work together seamlessly and include all the features you need for tour bookings and enrollment inquiries.
Still Having Issues?
If sticky parent information still isn't working after matching your element types, check that:
- Both elements are on the same enrollment page or in the same sequence
- Your form is collecting at least the parent's name and email
- You've saved and published your page changes
