Tailor Enrollio to your unique childcare business needs with Custom Objects. As of the October 2025 release, every subscription tier (Starter, Unlimited, Pro) can create up to 10 Custom Objects per client account.

What is a Custom Object?

Custom Objects let you define brand-new record types beyond the standard entities like families, enrollment opportunities, or tours. Think "Classrooms," "Vehicles," "Incidents," "Staff Certifications," or "Programs."

Each object can have its own custom fields, relationships, and automations. You get complete flexibility to model the specific data your childcare center tracks every day.

Custom Object Functions

Associations

Associations define how records relate to each other. For example, "Classroom → Enrolled Families" or "Staff Member → Certifications."

You can create one-to-one, one-to-many, or many-to-many links. Use them in filters, SmartLists, and automations for crystal-clear data relationships.

Custom Fields

Each Custom Object supports its own custom fields — text, number, date, dropdowns, and more. Capture exactly the data points your childcare business relies on.

Automation

Trigger automations whenever a Custom Object is created, updated, or deleted. Common actions include:

Do I need the Pro plan to use Custom Objects?

Not anymore! As of October 2025, Custom Objects are available on every plan (Starter, Unlimited, Pro).

How many objects can I create?

Up to 10 per client account across all plans.

Can I upgrade beyond 10 objects?

Today the hard cap is 10. For larger requirements, submit a feature request through your Enrollio support channel.

Will my existing automations break if I add more objects?

No. Automations recognize new objects automatically. Just add relevant triggers or actions.

Can I import/export Custom Objects via Snapshots?

Yes. Objects (with fields and associations) are included when you create or restore a Snapshot — subject to object limits in the target account.

Are there API endpoints for Custom Objects?

Yes. The REST API supports CRUD operations on objects and records. See the API docs for schema details.

Who can edit or delete a Custom Object?

Only admins at the account level have create, update, or delete permission. Regular users are read-only.

Is object data counted toward my account storage?

Yes. Each record and file stored inside a Custom Object counts toward your overall storage quota.
