What is the Profile Picture Feature?

The profile picture feature lets you add a photo to a parent or family record in Enrollio. These images appear throughout the platform — primarily in your Families list and the Conversations inbox.

Profile pictures can currently only be added when you create a new family record and cannot be changed afterward. Once uploaded, they help your team instantly recognize who they're engaging with.

Why Use Profile Pictures?

Profile images bring practical advantages that improve your team's experience and communication:

  • Quickly identify families in both Families and Conversations views
  • Add a personalized feel to parent interactions
  • Reduce confusion when managing similar names
  • Provide a professional and visual interface for your staff
  • Allow at-a-glance recognition during busy enrollment periods

Current Limitations

This feature is still evolving and has the following limitations:

  • You cannot add, change, or update a profile image after creating the family record
  • Profile pictures don't appear inside the full family profile tab
  • No drag-and-drop or cropping tools are available for uploaded images

How to Add Profile Pictures

Profile pictures are added only when you create new family records. There's no way to update a profile picture after the record is saved.

To add a profile picture:

  1. Navigate to the Families tab in the left-hand navigation
  2. Click the ➕ (plus) button to add a new family
  3. In the family creation window, click the image area labeled "Personal Logo"
  4. Upload an image file (max 2.5MB, 512x512px recommended)
  5. Fill in the family details and click Save

Once saved, the family record will show the uploaded image in various parts of the platform.

Pro Tip: If you need to add a profile picture to an existing family, create a new family record with the desired profile picture, then merge it with the existing record. This workaround lets you add images to families already in your system.

Where Profile Pictures Appear

In the Families List

After creating the family record with a profile image, navigate back to your Families list. You'll see the uploaded image next to the family name.

This makes it easier to visually scan and find families based on their photos.

In Conversations

When a parent with an uploaded image sends a text message or appears in a conversation thread, their image shows in the left-hand conversation list next to their name and in the right-side panel.

The image does not appear in the conversations panel in the middle.

Q: Can I update or change the profile picture later?
Not at this time. Profile pictures can only be added when creating a new family record.
