Why You Might Not See Activity on a Family's Profile
If you're looking at a family's record in Enrollio and notice their activity history is missing or incomplete, there are a few common reasons why this happens. Understanding these can help you troubleshoot tracking issues and ensure you're capturing important interactions with prospective families.
Common Reasons for Missing Activity
Safari Privacy Settings Block Tracking
The most common cause is when prospective families fill out your enrollment forms using Safari on an iPhone or Mac with strict privacy settings enabled.
When Safari's "Block All Cookies" option is turned on, Enrollio can't store the tracking information needed to connect their form submission to their activity history. This is a browser-level privacy feature that prevents any platform from tracking user behavior.
Pro Tip: This is becoming more common as privacy features expand. While you can't control user browser settings, Enrollio still captures the form submission itself — you just won't see the full journey leading up to it.
No-Track URL Parameters
If someone visits your enrollment page with ?notrack=true added to the URL (for example: https://yourdaycare.com/enroll?notrack=true), Enrollio won't track their activity.
This typically happens when testing your own forms or if the URL was shared with this parameter already included.
Browser Storage Restrictions
Enrollio stores activity tracking data in your browser's local storage. If a visitor's browser blocks local storage access (due to privacy settings, incognito mode, or browser extensions), we can't connect their activity to their family record.
What Still Gets Tracked
Here's the important part: Enrollio captures all activity, even when we can't assign it to a specific family record immediately.
When someone submits a form, that submission is always recorded. What might be missing is the full activity trail showing how they found you, which pages they visited, and what they clicked on before enrolling.
Technical Requirements for Full Tracking
For complete activity tracking, visitors need:
- Cookies enabled in their browser
- Local storage permissions allowed
- No privacy extensions blocking tracking scripts
- Standard browsing mode (not private/incognito)
These are standard web tracking requirements that apply to all modern platforms, not just Enrollio.

What This Means for Your Center
Don't worry if you see some family records with incomplete activity histories. The most important information — form submissions, enrollment applications, and direct interactions — is always captured.
The detailed activity trail (page views, time on site, click patterns) is helpful for understanding your marketing effectiveness, but its absence doesn't mean you've lost the family's information or their enrollment intent.
