What is Auto-Fill for Returning Families?

When you enable auto-fill (called "Sticky Contact" in settings), Enrollio remembers information that families have previously entered in your forms. The next time they visit, fields like name, email, and phone number populate automatically—making it faster and easier for parents to complete enrollment forms, book tours, or respond to surveys.

This works using browser cookies, so returning families don't have to re-type their information every time they interact with your center.

Common Use Cases

  • Tour bookings: Parents who've toured before can quickly book a follow-up visit
  • Recurring event sign-ups: Families registering for multiple events see their details pre-filled
  • Multi-step enrollment: Information carries forward as families progress through your enrollment process

⚠️ When NOT to Use Auto-Fill

Don't enable this feature if:

  • Your staff members fill out forms on behalf of different families (the system will overwrite data from the previous family)
  • Multiple families use the same device, like a kiosk at your center

In these situations, staff should enter information directly into the family's record instead of using forms.

Why Use Auto-Fill?

Auto-fill reduces friction and helps more families complete your forms:

  • Saves time for returning families
  • Increases form completion rates
  • Creates a smoother experience across tour bookings, surveys, and enrollment forms
  • Maintains consistent information across all touchpoints
  • Reduces drop-off during multi-step processes

Frequently Asked Questions

Does auto-fill work across different pages on my website?

Auto-fill works across forms on the same domain. However, it won't pre-fill forms on different subdomains (like tours.yourschool.com vs. enroll.yourschool.com).

What happens if a parent clears their browser cookies?

The saved information is deleted, and fields won't auto-fill until they submit a form again.

Is this feature compliant with privacy regulations?

Yes, but you should inform families about cookie usage in your privacy policy and provide a way to opt out if required by your local regulations.

Does this interfere with my browser's built-in autofill?

No. Browser autofill and Enrollio's auto-fill feature work independently. They can actually complement each other to create an even smoother experience.

I don't see Sticky Contact in my calendar settings—why not?

If you're using a custom form for tour bookings, the setting won't appear in calendar settings. Enable Sticky Contact directly on your custom form, and your calendar will use that saved data automatically.
