Keep Your Personal Calendar Events Private
When you connect your Google or Outlook calendar to Enrollio, you might not want your entire team seeing all your personal appointments. That's where Private Mode comes in.
With Private Mode enabled, only you can see the details of events synced from your personal calendar. Your team will just see that you're busy during those times — no event titles, no descriptions, no awkward questions about your dental appointment.
Where to Enable Private Mode
You can turn on Private Mode from two places in Enrollio:
Option 1: My Profile
- Navigate to Settings > My Profile
- Scroll down to the Calendar Configuration section
- Toggle Private Mode for Synced Events on or off
Option 2: Calendar Connections
- Go to Calendar Settings > Connections
- Find the Private Mode for Synced Events option
- Enable or disable it based on your needs
📌 Good to Know: Private Mode is turned on by default for all users, so your personal events are protected from the start.
How It Works
Private Mode Off: Your team sees your synced events with full details (event title, time, description).
Private Mode On: Your team only sees that you're busy during those times. No details are visible to anyone except you.
Important Things to Know
Google and Outlook Only
Private Mode works with Google Calendar and Outlook Calendar. Unfortunately, iCloud doesn't support event privacy settings, so all iCloud events will be visible to your team.
Already-Private Events
If you've marked an event as private in Google or Outlook itself, it will automatically be hidden in Enrollio — even if you haven't turned on Private Mode. Think of Private Mode as a blanket setting that hides all your synced events.
What Your Team Sees
When Private Mode is on, your synced events appear as "Busy" blocks on your calendar. This prevents scheduling conflicts while keeping your personal business private.
💡 Pro Tip: If you manage tours and enrollments but also have personal appointments throughout the day, keep Private Mode enabled. Your team can still see when you're available for parent meetings without knowing you're at your kid's soccer game.
