If you've accidentally deleted a phone number, you may still be able to restore it within 10 days

Whether you're using Enrollio Phone (our hosted service) or your own Twilio account, this guide walks you through the restoration process step by step.

Why Restoring Your Number Matters

  • Keep parent trust – Families already have your number saved in their phones
  • Maintain marketing consistency – Your number may be on brochures, ads, or your website
  • Prevent missed enrollments – Continue receiving calls and texts from prospective families
  • Save time and effort – Avoid reconfiguring automations and message templates
  • Preserve your reputation – Keep your caller ID history and text message continuity

Important Rules and Reminders

  • 10-day window: You have exactly 10 days from deletion to restore the number
  • Immediate billing: Twilio charges you as soon as the number is restored
  • No automatic settings: Call routing and automations won't restore automatically — you'll need to reconfigure them
  • Availability not guaranteed: If someone else claims the number during those 10 days, restoration isn't possible
Pro Tip: After 10 days, contact Twilio Support directly. Restoration charges may apply.

If You're Using Enrollio Phone (Hosted Numbers)

Enrollio Phone numbers are managed by our platform. If you deleted a number from a client account within the last 10 days, our support team can help restore it.

What You'll Need

  • The Client Account ID where the number was originally assigned
  • The phone number you want to restore

Steps to Restore

  1. Contact Enrollio Support via the in-platform chat
  2. Provide the Client Account ID and phone number
  3. Our team will check availability and restore the number on your behalf

We'll confirm once the number is back in your account. You'll then need to reconfigure any call routing or text automations.

If You're Using Your Own Twilio Account

If you connected your own Twilio account to Enrollio, you can restore deleted numbers directly from the Twilio Console — as long as you're within the 10-day window.

Twilio temporarily holds released numbers under the "Released Numbers" section. You'll need to locate the correct client account where the number was originally assigned, then manually repurchase it.

Step 1: Log in to the Twilio Console

Navigate to your client account by clicking on your account name in the Twilio Console.

  2. Navigate to Settings → Phone Integration → Client Account Settings

Can't Find the Number? Contact Twilio Support with your Account SID and number details. They may be able to help if the number is still in their system.

After Restoration: Reconfigure Your Settings

Once the number is restored, you'll need to:

  • Update call routing in Enrollio
  • Reconnect any text message automations
  • Verify the number appears in your client account
