Log every parent call outcome in seconds and let Enrollio automate the follow-up for you. Custom Call Outcomes turn "what happened on that call?" into actionable data that triggers automations and powers your reporting.

What are Custom Call Outcomes?

Custom Call Outcomes let your team choose a single result—like Follow Up, Tour Requested, or Not Interested—immediately after each call. That selection is stored on the call record, can trigger automations, and appears in Call Reporting for analysis.

Why Use Custom Call Outcomes?

Custom Call Outcomes make every parent conversation count by delivering:

  • Faster wrap-up: Your team picks an outcome in one click, so they can move to the next call sooner
  • Cleaner automation: Automations can start the moment a specific outcome is chosen (e.g., send tour confirmation text, add to waitlist)
  • Better visibility: Standardized outcomes become filterable columns in Call Reporting
  • Seamless migration: Replaces legacy Call Status with zero data loss (update your Call Details triggers)

Creating and Managing Call Outcomes

Admins control the list their team will see in the dialer. Build concise, action-oriented outcomes that match your enrollment stages.

Outcomes may be reordered for team convenience and edited at any time—existing automations keep working when an outcome is renamed.

Using Call Outcomes in Automations

Outcomes feed directly into the Call Details automation trigger via the new Custom Outcome filter. Combine outcomes with other filters (direction, duration, tags) to:

  • Send personalized text or email sequences
  • Re-enqueue families in Power Dialer
  • Apply or remove tags
  • Create tasks or enrollment opportunities

How to Set Up Call Outcome Automations:

Step 1: Under Automations, add a trigger: Call Details.

Step 2: Select the filter Custom Outcome. Choose one or more outcomes to automate your desired follow-up actions.

Step 3: Your chosen outcome can automatically trigger actions such as:

  • Sending a tour confirmation text or email
  • Scheduling a tour appointment
  • Adding the family to a specific enrollment pipeline or campaign
  • Creating a task for your enrollment coordinator

How to Set Up Custom Call Outcomes

Default Outcomes

By default, every client account starts with preset outcomes for visibility and ease of use. Admins can add or modify these to match your center's process.

Creating & Editing Outcomes

Only client account admins can create, edit, or delete outcomes. You can have up to 10 outcomes per client account.

For Set-up:

  1. Go to Client Account Settings → Phone System → Voice → Call Outcomes
  2. Edit the existing ones or add new ones
  3. Click Save

How Call Outcomes Work

When a call ends in the web dialer, you'll see up to 10 call outcomes to choose from, for example, Follow Up or Tour Requested. You simply select the appropriate one to log the outcome.

Using Outcomes in Reporting

All selected outcomes are stored and can be viewed in Reporting → Call Reporting. This lets you track patterns like call outcomes per team member or enrollment team performance.

In the Call Reporting table, you'll see a column for Call Outcome. You can also use it as a filter to analyze performance by outcome, for example, how many calls resulted in "Tour Requested" versus "Not Interested".

Custom Call Outcomes on Mobile

Custom Call Outcomes are now fully supported on mobile, making it easy to log clear call outcomes and trigger next steps instantly—right from your phone. This feature is live on both iOS and Android.

What's Available

Call End Screen Support: Select an outcome immediately when a call ends or from the post-call view, no desktop required.

Single Outcome per Call: Log one definitive outcome (e.g., Follow Up, Tour Requested) to ensure clean data and consistent reporting.

Automation-Ready: Use the Custom Outcome filter in automations to automatically trigger follow-ups, tasks, pipeline movements, and more.

Mobile-Specific Notes

Client Account Matching Required: Outcomes only appear when the selected client account matches the call's location. Since mobile apps can receive calls across multiple client accounts, cross-account outcomes are not supported. Use the Switch option if needed.

Supported Call Types

Call Outcomes work for:

  • All calls made or received via the web or mobile app
  • Both Enrollio Phone and Twilio client accounts

Not supported for:

  • Calls answered via personal number or desk phone

Limitations

  • Only one outcome per call
  • Maximum 10 outcomes per account
  • Sub-outcomes (nested outcomes) are not available
  • Multiple selections are not supported

Migration Note: Call Status → Call Outcome

If you were previously using Call Status in the Power Dialer (Manual Actions), the manual call status selection option has been replaced by Call Outcome.

Existing automations using "Call Status" triggers should be updated to use the Custom Outcome filter in Call Details Trigger instead. Your older data will remain visible, but new automations should use the new system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does my team have to pick an outcome after every call?
No. Selecting an outcome is optional, but highly recommended for accurate reporting and automation.

Q: What happens if I rename an outcome that's used in automations?
Automations continue to fire; the system tracks the outcome's internal ID.

Q: What happens if I delete an outcome?
Associated automations will stop triggering until you remove or replace that filter.

Q: Are multiple outcomes per call supported?
Not at this time—only one outcome can be selected per call.

Q: Which call types support outcomes?
All web- or mobile-app calls on Enrollio Phone or Twilio numbers. Calls answered on a personal or desk phone are excluded.

Q: Will historical Call Status data remain visible?
Yes, but new automations should switch to the Custom Outcome filter.

💡 Pro Tip: Set up outcomes that match your enrollment stages—like "Tour Scheduled," "Application Sent," "Waitlist," and "Not Interested"—so your reporting directly reflects your enrollment funnel.
