Overview
When parents see "Spam Likely" or "Potential Spam" on their caller ID, they won't answer your calls. This hurts your enrollment efforts and makes it harder to connect with families about tours, waitlist updates, or important reminders.
In this article, you'll learn how to remove spam flags from your childcare center's phone number and increase your call answer rates with parents.
Quick Decision Guide
If your number is flagged and it's relatively new or has FTC complaints: Get a new phone number. It's faster and easier than remediation.
If you have an EIN (Employer Identification Number): Register through Voice Integrity in Enrollio. This is the recommended approach for established childcare businesses.
If you don't have an EIN: Use the Free Caller Registry process outlined below.

Voice Integrity protects your childcare center's calls from being flagged as spam. It registers your U.S. phone numbers with major caller ID providers—First Orion, Hiya, and TNS—so parents see your verified name instead of "Spam Likely."
Why Voice Integrity Matters for Childcare Centers
- Parents answer your calls — verified caller IDs get higher pickup rates
- Build trust — families see your center's name, not a suspicious unknown number
- Protect your reputation — prevent your enrollment calls from being blocked
- Consistent branding — your center's name displays accurately across all carriers
Requirements for Voice Integrity
Before activating Voice Integrity, make sure you have:
- SHAKEN/STIR Certification (Required) — confirms your calls are legitimate
- CNAM Registration (Recommended) — displays your center's name as caller ID
- U.S. Phone Numbers Only — this feature currently works only for U.S.-based numbers
- EIN (Employer Identification Number) — required to complete SHAKEN/STIR registration
What is Free Caller Registry?
Major carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon) use different systems to identify spam calls. Free Caller Registry lets you submit one request that all three carriers review, making it easier to clear your childcare center's number.
How to Submit a Request on Free Caller Registry
Step 1: Access Free Caller Registry
Go to Free Caller Registry and click "Register Here."
[SCREENSHOT: Free Caller Registry homepage with Register Here button highlighted]Step 2: Fill Out the Registration Form
Complete the form with your childcare center's information. Use these recommended values:
- Display name (beside Phone Number): Leave blank
- I believe my calls are: Select "Other"
- Service Providers: Enter "Twilio"
- Please provide further information...: Leave blank
Step 3: Submit Your Request
Click "Submit." Within 4 business days, the spam flag should be removed from your number.
What If the Spam Flag Isn't Removed?
If your number still shows as spam after 4 business days, you can resubmit through Free Caller Registry or contact the carriers directly:
- Hiya (AT&T): Submit request
- First Orion (T-Mobile): Register your number
- Transaction Network Services (Verizon): Report form
