Account Templates - Overview
An account template is a pre-built setup for client accounts that lets you transfer assets like enrollment pages, calendars, automations, forms, and message templates from one account to another. Think of it as a blueprint for your childcare center's Enrollio setup.
Templates save you hours of repetitive work. Build your ideal setup once — including custom fields, enrollment pipelines, parent communication templates, and tour booking calendars — then apply it to new accounts instantly.
What Gets Copied in Templates
When you apply a template to a client account, these items transfer over:
- Custom Fields
- Custom Values (keys only, not the actual values)*
- Triggers (start in Draft mode)*
- Trigger Links
- Surveys
- Forms
- Text Message Templates
- Email Templates (including Marketing emails, template library emails, and HTML builder emails)
- Reputation Management Settings (text, email, and custom communication templates)
- Campaigns (published by default)*
- Enrollment Pipelines
- Calendars (including all calendar settings)*
- Tags
- Folders
- Enrollment Pages / Landing Pages*
- Automations*
- Teams (inactive by default)*
- Marketplace actions and triggers (requires app installation)*
- Custom-built actions and triggers
Important Notes
Custom Values: Only the key name copies over, not the actual data. This protects each center's unique information. Learn how to use Custom Values with templates.
Triggers: All triggers start in Draft mode when copied. You'll need to activate them manually.
Campaigns: These copy as Published, but user assignments don't transfer since each account has different staff members.
Calendars: All your tour booking calendars and availability settings transfer over.
Automations: Most automation actions copy successfully. However, Facebook custom audiences, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, and Facebook Conversion API actions don't transfer.
Enrollment Pages: The pages transfer, but products and tracking codes don't copy over.
Teams: Team structures copy but start inactive. A team member must manually activate them.
Marketplace integrations: The app must be installed in the destination account for marketplace actions to work.
What Doesn't Copy Over
These items stay separate for each account to protect privacy and maintain account integrity:
- Parent and family contacts
- Conversations
- Tracking codes (on enrollment sites and landing pages)
- Third-party integrations
- Staff users
- Reporting data
- Reputation/review data
- Custom Value data (only keys transfer)
- Chat widget customizations
- Connected domains
- Company settings
- Existing tasks or manual actions
Pro Tip: Create different templates for different types of childcare centers you work with. For example, one template for infant care centers and another for preschools, each with relevant forms, pipelines, and automations already configured.
