Auto-Pilot Mode for Enrollio AI
When you enable Auto-Pilot mode, Enrollio AI automatically responds to all incoming messages on the channels you've selected in your preferences. This keeps your conversations with families moving forward even when you're busy with tours, enrollments, or classroom duties.
How Auto-Pilot Mode Works
Auto-Pilot gives Enrollio AI permission to handle incoming messages from parents and prospective families. You maintain control through three key settings that determine when and how often the AI responds.
Configure Auto-Pilot Settings
Customize these settings to control how Enrollio AI behaves in your conversations with families.
1. Wait Time Before Responding
Set how long Enrollio AI waits before replying to a message. You can choose anywhere from 1 second to 5 minutes.
This brief pause lets the AI collect multiple messages if a parent sends several texts in quick succession. Instead of responding to each message separately, the AI reads them all together and sends one comprehensive reply.
Pro Tip: A 30-60 second wait time works well for most childcare centers. It feels natural to parents while giving the AI time to process complete questions.

2. Maximum Messages Per Conversation
Set the maximum number of messages Enrollio AI can send to a family in a single conversation thread. The limit is 25 messages.
Once the AI reaches this limit in a conversation on any channel (text, Facebook, Instagram, etc.), it automatically goes to sleep for that family. This prevents the AI from getting stuck in endless back-and-forth exchanges.
To reactivate the AI: Simply mark the conversation as "Read" in your inbox. This resets the message counter and wakes up the AI for that family.

3. Sleep When You Send Manual Messages
Toggle this setting to pause Enrollio AI when you or an automation sends a message to a family.
When enabled, you choose how long the AI stays asleep after you send a manual message or an automation triggers. This prevents the AI from jumping into a conversation you're handling personally.
How it works: If you text a parent directly or an automation sends a tour reminder, Enrollio AI pauses for your specified time period. Once that time passes, the AI automatically becomes active again for that family.

Best Practices for Auto-Pilot Mode
- Start conservative: Begin with a lower message limit (8-10 messages) and adjust based on your conversation patterns
- Use the sleep timer: Set a 2-4 hour sleep period when you send manual messages. This gives you time to have complete conversations without AI interruption
- Monitor regularly: Check your AI conversations weekly to see how families are responding and adjust settings as needed
Important: These settings apply to all channels you've enabled for Enrollio AI. If you want different behavior for text messages versus Facebook messages, you'll need to adjust your channel preferences separately.
