Overview

The Knowledge Base helps you train Enrollio AI with content about your childcare program. This updated interface makes it easier to see what content you've added, where it comes from, and how to manage it.

When families interact with your AI assistant, it draws answers from your Knowledge Base — so keeping it current and comprehensive helps provide better responses about your programs, policies, and enrollment process.

What's New in the Knowledge Base Interface

Summary View

Each Knowledge Base now opens with a Summary view that gives you a quick snapshot of all connected sources and overall structure. Use this to quickly check what content is currently available to your AI assistant.

Tabbed Data Sources

All your content sources are now organized into individual tabs. Each tab represents a different source type, making it simpler to add and manage content without switching between pages.

As we release new source types, they'll appear as additional tabs automatically.

Knowledge Base Sources

When you open a Knowledge Base, you'll see tabs for each supported source type:

  • Web Crawler — Pull content from your website or enrollment pages
  • FAQ — Add common questions and answers about your program
  • Web Search — Enable your AI to search current information
  • Tables — Import structured data like tuition rates or schedules
  • Rich Text — Write custom content directly in Enrollio
  • File Upload — Upload PDFs, documents, or other files

Each tab shows the number of items you've added and provides quick actions to add or manage sources.

Who This Interface Is For

The Knowledge Base interface is designed for:

  • Admins — Managing Knowledge Bases and data sources
  • Editors — Curating and maintaining content
  • Viewers — Can see content but don't have management controls

What Didn't Change

This update only refreshes the interface. It doesn't affect:

  • How you write or edit content
  • User permissions or access levels
  • How content is indexed or used by your AI assistant
  • Any existing Knowledge Bases or sources you've already created

Rollout & Availability

The refreshed Knowledge Base interface is rolling out progressively. If you don't yet see the Summary view or tabbed layout, it will appear automatically as the update reaches your account. No action required on your part.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Summary view replace the individual source details?

No. The Summary view provides a high-level overview to help you see everything at a glance. Each source tab still contains all the detailed information and management options you need.

Can I add multiple sources of the same type?

Yes. You can add as many sources as you need under each source tab. For example, you might have multiple FAQs for different programs or age groups.

Will new data sources appear automatically?

Yes. As we release new source types, they'll appear as additional tabs. Your existing content and layout won't be affected.

Pro Tip: Keep your Knowledge Base organized by program or topic. For example, create separate Knowledge Bases for infant care, preschool, and after-school programs so your AI can provide more targeted responses.
