Moving Phone Numbers Between Accounts (US and International)

This guide walks you through transferring phone numbers between Enrollio Phone and Twilio, or between different Enrollio accounts. The process is simple: gather your credentials, then submit a support ticket. Enrollio Support handles everything—no Twilio ticket required.

Important: All three scenarios (Enrollio→Twilio, Twilio→Enrollio, and Enrollio→Enrollio across different accounts) follow the same process. You'll provide the appropriate Twilio Account SID, destination client account ID, and phone number(s). For international numbers, provide the Regulatory Bundle SID and Address SID instead.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the following information ready:

For US numbers:

  • Twilio Account SID (gaining SID for moves to Twilio, losing SID for moves from Twilio)
  • Destination client account ID (where the number will live)
  • Phone number(s) in E.164 format (e.g., +1XXXXXXXXXX)

For international numbers:

  • Regulatory Bundle SID (instead of Account SID)
  • Address SID
  • Destination client account ID
  • Phone number(s) with country code

Moving US Phone Numbers

All three scenarios—Enrollio→Twilio, Twilio→Enrollio, and Enrollio→Enrollio (different accounts)—follow the same simple flow. Gather your credentials, then open a support ticket with your preferred transfer window.

Step 1: Gather Twilio Credentials (When Required)

Find these in the Twilio Console under Account Info:

  • Enrollio → Twilio: Gaining Twilio Account SID (your destination Twilio account)
  • Twilio → Enrollio: Losing Twilio Account SID (your current Twilio account)
  • Enrollio → Enrollio (different accounts): No Twilio credentials needed

Step 2: Get Your Client Account ID

Navigate to Settings → Business Profile in your Enrollio account to locate the Client Account ID (also called Location ID) for the account that currently has the phone number, or where you want to move it.

Step 3: Open an Enrollio Support Ticket

Your support ticket kicks off the migration. Include these details:

  • Phone number(s) you want to move
  • Relevant gaining or losing Twilio Account SID (if applicable)
  • Destination client account ID
  • Your preferred transfer window

Enrollio Support schedules and coordinates everything, then confirms when your number is live. You don't need to open a Twilio ticket.

Moving International (Non-US) Numbers

International transfers follow the same two-step flow, but instead of a Twilio Account SID, you'll use regulatory credentials specific to your number's country.

Collect your Regulatory Bundle SID and Address SID for the number's country and type (local or toll-free), then follow the same steps outlined above.

Pro tip: Before submitting your ticket, verify that your regulatory bundle is approved and current, all documents are valid, and any country-specific requirements (like Alphanumeric Sender ID or emergency address registration) are in place for your destination account.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long will my migration take?

Typically 1–2 business days from when Enrollio Support has all required information (Twilio Account SID, destination client account ID, and number list). We'll confirm your transfer window and notify you when the number is live.

Can I move multiple numbers at once?

Yes. Include all numbers in a single list (CSV format or inline) in your support ticket. Validate each number after the transfer completes.

Do A2P/Toll-Free approvals transfer automatically?

Not always. After the move, confirm your numbers are properly attached to the correct brand/campaign or toll-free verification in your destination account.

Do past recordings and voicemails migrate?

No. Only future calls and messages will be associated with the number after transfer. Download any historical recordings or voicemails you need to keep before starting the migration.

What if I need to roll back?

Reply to your support ticket immediately during the transfer window. Whether we can reverse the migration depends on carrier policies and timing, so contact us as soon as possible.
