Overview

Understanding which email address Enrollio uses when sending messages to parents is important for maintaining trust and professionalism. The "from" address depends on whether you're sending manually or using automations, and whether the parent is assigned to a specific staff member.

This article explains how Enrollio determines which email address to use, and where you can configure it.

Which Sender Email Will Parents See?

Enrollio follows a priority order based on the type of email and whether the parent is assigned to someone on your team.

Manual Emails (Sent from Conversations)

For both assigned and unassigned families:

  1. Your logged-in user email (1st priority)

Automated Emails (Automations & Campaigns)

For unassigned families:

  1. Automation/campaign settings (1st priority)
  2. Location email (2nd priority)
  3. Enrollio default email (3rd priority)

For assigned families:

  1. Automation/campaign settings (1st priority)
  2. Assigned staff member's email (2nd priority)
  3. Location email (3rd priority)
  4. Enrollio default email (4th priority)

Special Email Types

Review request emails: Always use the logged-in user's email

Tour confirmation emails: Use do-not-reply@replies.[yourdomain].com based on your Mailgun setup, or your SMTP-integrated email

Pro Tip: If you haven't connected your email provider yet, follow these steps to set up SMTP. Using your own domain (like hello@brightstarchildcare.com) looks more professional than generic addresses.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my Outlook sender email look long and strange?

This is how Outlook displays sender information in its interface. Parents using Gmail or other email providers will see the correct sender name and address.

Learn how to hide "sent by" information in Outlook

How do I remove "sent via" information in Gmail?

Make sure your sender email domain matches the Mailgun domain you configured for your location. For example, if your Mailgun domain is mail.brightstarchildcare.com, use an email like hello@brightstarchildcare.com.

Using a matching domain tells Gmail that you're authorized to send from that address.

Pro Tip: Consistent sender addresses improve email deliverability. Parents are also more likely to recognize and open emails from a familiar address like info@yourcentername.com than from generic or changing addresses.
