Google Analytics tracks who's visiting your studio's website — how many visitors you're getting, which pages they view, and where your traffic is coming from. Once connected to Enrollio Pulse, this data powers your Website Visitors, Visitor → Lead Rate, and traffic trend charts automatically.
This guide walks you through setting up Google Analytics from scratch. If you already have Google Analytics running on your website, skip ahead to Connecting Google Analytics to Enrollio Pulse.
Do I Already Have Google Analytics?
Before setting anything up, let's check whether it's already running on your site:
- Go to analytics.google.com
- Sign in with the Google account you use for your studio (this is usually the same account you use for Gmail or Google Ads)
- If you see a property listed with your studio's name and website URL, and there's recent visitor data showing, you're all set — skip to Connecting Google Analytics to Enrollio Pulse
- If you see a blank screen, a welcome message, or "No properties found," follow the steps below
Not sure which Google account to use? Use the same one you use for Google Ads or Google Business Profile. Keeping everything under one account makes life much easier.
Part 1: Create Your Google Analytics Property
A "property" is Google's term for the analytics profile tied to your website. You only need one.
- Go to analytics.google.com
- Sign in with your Google account
- Click the Admin gear icon in the bottom-left corner
- Click Create → Property
- Fill in the details:
- Property name: Your studio's name (e.g., "Bella Ballet Website" or "Sunshine Dance Academy")
- Reporting time zone: Select your local time zone
- Currency: US Dollar
- Click Next
- On the business details screen:
- Industry category: Select "Arts & Entertainment"
- Business size: Select "Small"
- Click Next
- On the business objectives screen, select Generate leads and Examine user behavior (you can select multiple)
- Click Create
Your property is now created. Google will immediately ask you to set up a "data stream" — this is how it connects to your website.
Part 2: Create Your Web Data Stream
A data stream tells Google Analytics which website to track.
- After creating your property, you'll see a screen asking you to choose a platform. Click Web
- Enter your website details:
-
Website URL: Your full website address (e.g.,
www.bellaballetdance.com). Make sure to selecthttps://from the dropdown if your site uses it (most do) - Stream name: Something simple like "Studio Website" or your studio's name
-
Website URL: Your full website address (e.g.,
- Click Create stream
- You'll now see your stream details, including a Measurement ID that looks like
G-XXXXXXXXXX - Copy this Measurement ID — you'll need it in the next step
Keep this page open. You'll come back to it.
Part 3: Add the Tracking Code to Your Website
This is the step that actually starts collecting visitor data. How you do it depends on where your website is hosted.
If Your Website Is Managed by Enrollio
Email our support team at support@enrollio.ai with:
- Your studio name
- Your Google Analytics Measurement ID (the
G-XXXXXXXXXXcode)
We'll add the tracking code for you, usually within one business day.
If You Use Wix
- In your Wix dashboard, go to Settings → Custom Code
- Click Add Code (top right)
- In the code box, paste the following (replace
G-XXXXXXXXXXwith your actual Measurement ID):
<!-- Google Analytics -->
<script async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=G-XXXXXXXXXX"></script>
<script>
window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
gtag('js', new Date());
gtag('config', 'G-XXXXXXXXXX');
</script>
- Under "Place Code in," select Head
- Under "Pages," select All pages
- Click Apply
If You Use Squarespace
- In your Squarespace dashboard, go to Settings → Developer Tools → External API Keys
- Find the Google Analytics field
- Paste your Measurement ID (
G-XXXXXXXXXX) — just the ID, not the full script - Click Save
Squarespace handles the rest automatically.
If You Use WordPress
The easiest method:
- In your WordPress admin panel, go to Plugins → Add New
- Search for "Site Kit by Google"
- Install and activate the plugin
- Click Start Setup and sign in with your Google account
- Site Kit will detect your Analytics property and connect everything automatically
If you prefer not to use a plugin, you can manually add the tracking code to your theme's header.php file — but we'd recommend having your web developer handle that.
If You Use GoDaddy Website Builder
- In your GoDaddy dashboard, open your website editor
- Click Settings → Site-wide Code
- In the Head Tracking Code section, paste the full Google Analytics script (same code shown in the Wix instructions above)
- Click Save and Publish
If Someone Else Built Your Website
Send them an email with this information:
Hi, I need Google Analytics 4 (GA4) added to my website. My Measurement ID is G-XXXXXXXXXX. Please add the gtag.js tracking code to every page. Thanks!
Any web developer will know exactly what to do with this.
Part 4: Verify It's Working
After adding the tracking code, give it 24-48 hours to start collecting data. Then:
- Go to analytics.google.com
- Select your property
- On the home screen, you should see a Realtime card showing current visitors
- Open your studio's website in another browser tab — you should see yourself appear as an active visitor within a few seconds
If you see visitor data flowing in, you're ready to connect to Pulse.
Don't see any data after 48 hours? The tracking code might not be installed correctly. Double-check the steps above for your platform, or contact our support team and we'll help troubleshoot.
Connecting Google Analytics to Enrollio Pulse
Once Google Analytics is collecting data from your website:
- Go to your Enrollio Pulse dashboard
- Click the gear icon (⚙) in the top-right corner
- Click the Integrations tab
- Find Google Analytics and click Connect
- Sign in with the Google account that owns your GA4 property
- Grant Enrollio permission to view your analytics data
- If you have multiple properties, select the one for your studio's website (look for the property name you created in Part 1)
- You'll be redirected back to Pulse with a green Connected badge
What You'll See in Pulse
Once connected, these sections of your dashboard will populate with real data:
- Website Visitors — Total unique visitors for the selected date range
- Visitor → Lead Rate — The percentage of visitors who submitted an inquiry or contact form
- Traffic & Leads Over Time — A chart showing your daily visitor and lead trends
It may take a few minutes after connecting for the data to appear. If you don't see it after 10 minutes, click Refresh Data in the top-right corner of Pulse.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this slow down my website? No. The Google Analytics tracking code is tiny and loads in the background. Visitors won't notice any difference.
Is this free? Yes. Google Analytics is completely free for all businesses.
What if I already have an older version of Google Analytics (Universal Analytics)? Universal Analytics was retired by Google in 2024. You'll need to set up a new GA4 property using the steps above. Your old data won't transfer over, but GA4 is what Google supports going forward.
Can I see which specific pages people visit? Yes — within Google Analytics itself you can see page-by-page breakdowns. Pulse pulls in the top-level visitor counts and trends. For detailed page-level analysis, log into analytics.google.com directly.
I have multiple studio locations. Do I need separate properties? If each location has its own website, yes — create a separate GA4 property for each. If all locations share one website, one property covers everything. In Pulse, each studio location connects to its own GA4 property.
Need Help?
Setting up Google Analytics can feel technical, but it's a one-time setup. Once it's running, it works in the background forever.
