The Custom Value Picker feature in Enrollio allows users to dynamically tag contacts using data from automation triggers, significantly expanding functionality within workflows. This feature is especially useful for creating personalized tags based on specific fields, improving how data is managed and applied in various automation processes.

Feature Overview

Previously, users were limited to choosing from preset tags for automation processes, with no option to apply dynamic or custom values to certain fields. Now, Enrollio introduces a dropdown feature that allows users to toggle between Standard Values and the Custom Value Picker for dropdown, numeric, and date fields. This enhancement offers a flexible way to tag contacts dynamically based on automation triggers.

How It Works

The Custom Value Picker provides users with two options when selecting a value:

  1. Standard Values:
    Users can input data according to the field type, whether it's date, dropdown, or numeric.

  2. Custom Value Picker:
    The Custom Value Picker allows users to dynamically create tags by selecting from values generated through the automation trigger.

The feature is currently available for two actions:

  • Add Contact Tag
  • Remove Contact Tag

Real-Life Use Cases

Here are some examples of how the Custom Value Picker can be used in dynamic tagging:

  • Service and Location Tags:
    For a business that offers various services across locations, tags can be generated dynamically by combining the service and location:
    Example: bushtrimming-{{contact.postal_code}}

  • User-Specific Tags:
    For assigning leads to specific users, tags can reflect the individual’s role or name:
    Example: setter_{{user.name}}

  • Date-Based Tags:
    To mark specific events or campaigns based on signup dates or months, tags can incorporate time-based values:
    Example: Signup-{{right_now.month}}-{{right_now.year}}

How to Use the Custom Value Picker

  1. Access the Field:
    Click on the three dots on the right side of the field in your workflow setup.

  2. Change Field Type to "Custom":
    Set the field type to Custom.

  3. Select Value from the Custom Value Picker:
    Use the Custom Value Picker to choose the dynamic tag format. Tags can be formatted as a single string (e.g., tag-1), multiple values (['tag-1', 'tag-2']), or a comma-separated string ('tag-1, tag-2').

 

 

The Custom Value Picker for dropdown, numeric, and date fields provides a flexible and dynamic way to manage tags, making it easier for businesses to create context-specific automation workflows in Enrollio. This initial rollout includes Add Contact Tag and Remove Contact Tag actions, with potential for further expansion in the future.
