What is the wait action feature, and how does it work?
The wait action feature allows you to set a time frame for when a certain action should take place. For example, you can set a wait action for when a new student enrolls in a class and specify the number of days before they receive a welcome email. This feature helps you automate your processes and save time.
What are the new enhancements?
-
Branching: With the new branching feature, you can now create multiple paths for your wait actions. This means that you can set different actions to occur based on specific criteria. For instance, if a student enrolls in a class and selects a specific dance style, you can set a different wait time for them to receive a welcome email compared to students who select a different dance style.
-
Text Explanations: This feature allows you to add text explanations to your wait actions. This can help you provide more context and information, making them more personalized and relevant for your students.
-
New UI for Dropdown Options: We’ve updated the user interface for dropdown options to make it more user-friendly and visually appealing. This will make it easier for you to set up your wait actions and customize them to fit your business needs.
-
Enhanced Stats View: The new enhanced stats view provides you with more detailed information about your wait actions. You can now see the number of students who have completed the wait action, the number of students who are currently in the wait period, and the average time it takes for students to complete the action.
5. Changes in the Execution Logs - We have added bifurcation for the timed out contacts and the contacts that are have fulfilled the conditions in the Execution logs details section.
How do you switch to the enhanced wait action?
Existing wait actions will continue to work as expected. However, if you want to take advantage of the new enhancements, you can switch to the newer version by clicking "Enable branching" and saving the action. This will not affect your existing wait actions, but it will allow you to use the new features for future actions.
- On opening any older version of Wait action with timeout option, you will see a banner about new branching changes. You can move to new UI by clicking on "Enable branching"
- A pop up window will open, click on "Confirm"
- You will see another banner stating that Branching was enabled
- Save the action
Use cases for you:
-
Personalized welcome emails: With the branching feature, you can create different paths for students based on their dance style selection. This means you can send personalized welcome emails to students based on their interests, making them feel more connected to your studio.
-
Reminder emails: You can use the enhanced stats view to track the average time it takes for students to complete a certain action. This can help you send reminder emails to students who haven’t completed the action within the expected time frame.
-
Customized communication: By adding text explanations to your wait actions, you can provide more context and information to your students. This can help you communicate with them in a more customized and personalized manner.
We hope these enhancements will help you streamline your processes and provide a better experience for your students.
