These updates will make it easier for you to manage your Twilio accounts and call recording storage.
We understand that managing billing can be time-consuming, so we've streamlined the process to save you time and effort.
One of the major enhancements is the ability to bill for suspended Twilio accounts. This means that if you need to temporarily suspend your Twilio account, you'll only be charged for the time it was active. This helps you save money and avoid unnecessary charges.
In addition, we’ve implemented billing for call recording storage. You'll now be charged based on the amount of storage you use, which is especially helpful if you want to keep track of calls for training or quality purposes.
Starting September 2024, billing for call recording storage will occur at the end of each month. You’ll only be charged for the storage you used, making it easier for you to budget and plan your expenses.
The cost for call recording storage will be $0.0005 per minute of recording stored per month. This is a reasonable rate, charged only for the actual minutes of recordings stored. For example, if you store 100 minutes of calls per day, your estimated cost for the first month will be around $1.20—a small price for the convenience and benefits of call recording storage.
Some use cases could include using call recordings for training new staff, reviewing calls for customer service improvement, or keeping track of important conversations. With our updated billing system, you can easily manage your call recording storage and only pay for what you use.
