One of the best ways to ensure Messaging deliverability is high, is by verifying your toll-free number.
Messaging platforms often change the message volumes which can be sent over an unverified Toll-Free number, and therefore, verification for all Toll-Free numbers is essential as well as aligning sender visibility with the 10DLC messaging standards.
- If you’ve already verified your Toll-Free numbers, no further action is needed.
- If you have not verified your Toll-Free numbers, please submit your numbers for verification. If you have multiple numbers, please submit Toll-Free numbers that send the most volume first.
Follow these steps to submit your number(s) for verification:
Step 1: Go to the Toll-Free Registration page by navigating to Settings > Phone Number.
Step 2: Fill out the form on this page, in its entirety. Any missing information may lead to delays. Once you submit the form, a support ticket will be created.
Step 3: Now that you have submitted your form, your number will be in a “Pending” stage. You will be able to use your number without the daily, weekly, and monthly limits you had before. Verification may take 2-3 weeks.
*As of October 1, 2022, the following industry-wide thresholds for messaging sent over unverified Toll-Free numbers are as follows:
- Daily limit: 2,000 messages
- Weekly limit: 12,000 messages
- Monthly limit: 25,000 messages
(These thresholds are subject to change)
NOTE: These limits aren’t applicable when a Toll-Free number has been submitted for verification and is waiting to be, or is already, verified. Registration is still required for all Toll-Free numbers when sending messages to Canada.
