We’re excited to introduce the Late Fees feature for invoices in Enrollio! Now, you can attach late fees directly to your invoices to ensure timely payments from your customers. With this feature, you have the flexibility to configure late fees globally for all invoices or customize them on an individual invoice basis.

What’s New in Late Fees Management?

Here's what the new Late Fees feature offers:

• Global and Invoice-Specific Settings: Configure late fees in the global settings to apply them across all invoices, or adjust settings at the invoice level to customize fees as needed.

• Flexible Fee Adjustments: Easily set up late fees with options for intervals, grace periods, flat one-time fees, and maximum chargeable fees, providing control over how you charge for late payments. 
  
  

How to Use the Late Fees Feature in Enrollio

Follow these steps to set up and manage late fees on your invoices:

1. Configure Global Late Fees:
   

   • Go to Invoice Settings > Payments in your Enrollio account.
   • Set up the global late fee configuration that will act as a blueprint for all invoices.
   • These settings can include grace periods, intervals, and flat fee charges.

2. Enable Late Fees on Individual Invoices:
   

   • Open the specific invoice and find the Late Fees Configuration menu in the top right corner.
   • When turning it on for the first time, the global settings will be applied, but you can modify them for that particular invoice as needed.

3. Customize Late Fee Options:

   • Adjust the settings for each invoice, including the interval at which late fees are charged, the maximum chargeable amount, and the grace period for payments.

4. Automatic Late Fee Application:

   • Once an invoice is due, the late fee will be automatically applied based on the configured settings.
   • If the invoice has a payment schedule, the due date of each installment will trigger the late fee.

• Encourage Timely Payments: The late fee feature is designed to motivate customers to make payments on time, helping businesses reduce overdue balances.

• Flexible Payment Incentives: This feature opens up new possibilities like offering discounts for timely payments, which can be retracted if the due date passes, replaced by a late fee.

Note: Customers charged a late fee will receive an email notification detailing the late fee policy, along with the payment success email.
