Enrollio is enhancing its user experience for studio owners by enabling custom fields in the chat widget contact form. This new feature is designed to help you collect additional details from prospective dance students, parents, or guardians when they reach out via SMS/Email and WhatsApp Chat Widget.
Custom Field Addition: You can now add custom fields directly within the chat widget builder. Besides the standard information captured during inquiries, you can request extra details, for example, preferred dance style, class level, or lesson scheduling preferences, to better understand the needs of families joining your dance studio.
Standard Fields: The chat widget continues to support the essential fields, ensuring you always get the core details needed for registration:
Name: (Mandatory)Capture the student's or the parent's name.
Phone or Email: (At least one is required to create a new contact. Note: The default is Phone if you attempt to remove it.)
Message: Allow additional notes that can include questions or specifics about dance classes.
Supported Custom Field Types: Enrollio supports the following types of custom data fields to accommodate your studio’s registration needs:
TEXT
MONETARY
PHONE
NUMERIC
LARGE TEXT
DATE
Field Limitations:
You can add up to 5 fields in total on the chat widget contact form. This count includes both the standard fields and any custom fields you add.
Note that either Phone or Email is mandatory to process student inquiries.
Field Validation & Mandatory Requirements:
Standard Fields: Fields such as Name, Phone, Email, and Message remain mandatory when they are enabled.
Custom Fields:
These additional fields are optional for the user to complete unless they choose to enter information.
Input validation is applied to ensure:
Phone fields follow proper formatting based on the specified country code.
Email fields include a valid email format.
Phone Field Internationalization:
If you add two or more phone number fields, the chat widget allows you to select a country code for international phone number formatting. The setup ensures that only one country flag is used across all phone fields, streamlining the formatting process for your studio’s international inquiries.
