Restore Deleted Families or Undo Bulk Deletes

Quickly recover accidentally deleted families with Enrollio's updated Families → Restore page. The refreshed interface includes multi-select checkboxes, clear columns, and a confirmation dialog that makes restoring one—or hundreds—of family records faster and safer.

This guide shows you what's new, why it matters, and exactly how to use it.

What is the Families Restore Page?

The Families Restore page is your safety net for retrieving parent and family records removed from your platform. It centralizes recently deleted records (within the data-retention window) so you can bring them back without re-imports or complex workarounds.

This page is especially helpful after accidental deletions or when reversing small clean-ups.

The refreshed Restore experience delivers a faster, clearer workflow. You'll see a clean, modern layout with quick checkboxes to select and recover multiple families at once, prominent columns for Name, Email, Phone, and Deleted On, and a streamlined confirmation dialog that clearly shows how many records you're about to bring back.

Key Benefits of the Families Restore Page

Understanding these practical wins helps you choose the fastest, safest recovery path—whether you're restoring one record or many.

  • Bulk efficiency: Select multiple records at once using checkboxes to restore batches in fewer steps
  • At-a-glance context: Review key columns (Name, Email, Phone, Deleted On) before you commit to restoring
  • Safety net: A confirmation dialog summarizes exactly how many families you're about to recover
  • Time savings: Restore directly from Enrollio instead of re-importing CSVs
  • Consistency: Restored families reappear throughout your platform so your team can keep working without disruption

Important Information When Restoring Families

Restrictions in HIPAA Accounts: In HIPAA-compliant accounts, deleted families cannot be restored due to strict data security regulations.

Time Limit: A family can be restored within 60 days only. Beyond this timeframe, the data is permanently deleted.

What Gets Restored: When you restore a family, they come back with all their associated data, including:

  • Enrollment opportunities
  • Notes and tasks
  • Conversations and message history
  • Tour appointments
  • Automation and campaign participation

Confirmation Dialog

A clear confirmation step reduces errors by summarizing the scope of your action.

The dialog displays the total number of selected families to be restored. One click to confirm, and restoration begins immediately.

If any families are beyond the retention window or otherwise ineligible, you'll be notified before completion.

Restoring Single or Multiple Families

If you've deleted one or more families manually, Enrollio makes it easy to bring them back from the Restore tab. This method is ideal for recovering individual families or small batches without needing to reverse an entire bulk action.

Step 1: Access the Restore Tab in the Families Section

Navigate to the Families section in your Enrollio dashboard and select the Restore tab.

If you've accidentally deleted multiple families using the bulk delete feature, you can easily reverse the action and restore the deleted families along with their associated data.

Step 1: Navigate to the Bulk Actions Page

Go to the Families section and click on Bulk Actions in the navigation menu.

The Bulk Actions page shows a history of all bulk operations performed in your account, including bulk deletes.

Select Restore again from the confirmation pop-up.

Please Note: The restoration process will begin immediately. You can monitor its progress in the Bulk Actions page, where the status will change to indicate the restoration's progress (e.g., "In Progress" or "Completed").

After the process is complete, navigate back to the Families section and verify the restored families.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long after deletion can I restore a family?

Up to 60 days. After that, the family record is permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

Can I restore families deleted by someone else on my team?

Yes, as long as it's within the 60-day window and you have Admin access.

What happens to associated data?

Restored families regain all their associated data, including conversations, enrollment opportunities, tour appointments, and automation participation—unless that data was independently deleted.

Does "Select all" include families on every page of results?

It includes all families in the current list view. If you have multiple pages, increase the rows per page or repeat your selection on subsequent pages before restoring.

How long does the restoration process take for bulk actions?

The time depends on the number of families being restored. For large bulk actions, it may take several minutes to complete.

Can I restore families in a HIPAA-compliant account?

No, HIPAA-compliant accounts do not permit restoring deleted families for data security reasons.

Why can't I restore a family?

Either the family was deleted more than 60 days ago and is no longer recoverable, or your account is HIPAA-compliant and does not allow family restoration.

Pro Tip: Set a regular backup schedule by exporting your families list monthly. This gives you an extra safety net beyond the 60-day restore window.
